Infants need attention so that they won’t get grumpy all the time. Parents should always keep an eye on them since they are not yet able to take care and clean themselves on their own. Also, infants need always to be fed. There are those that feed almost every two hours or so. There are also times that their diapers should be constantly changed especially if they made poopie.

For parents who are not used to doing this may find it a bit gross but in time, they wouldn’t mind doing it. It’s part of parenthood. Also, the infant has that feel of security because he knows that he is well taken cared of. His needs and health comes first before anyone else’s. To keep the child calm while changing his diapers can be done by talking to him. Tell him what you are doing and why are you doing it.

Another way to keep him calm is to give him his infant toys. These toys help the infant focus on the toy and not the diaper changing. This is a great diversion of his attention. With the colors and texture of the toys, his senses are heightened thus making the brain function the way it should be.

Rattles are a common kind of toy for the infant. Because of the rattling sound, he is then familiarized with it. Awareness of the toy sound enables him to have an association. He knows that when he sees a toy, there is a corresponding sound to it.

Other toys that can be given to the infants are those that have a lot of colors. Though infants do not know the color names, merely distinguishing one color from the other is enough. In this way, parents or guardians can teach the colors once he is able to absorb such information. Regularly telling which color is which helps the recognition and memorization process to be easier.

There are those that enhance and develop the muscles such as those toys made to be held firmly. If an infant is able to do this then development of the muscles is in progress. More so, infants are fragile so they need to find other ways to strengthen their bones and muscles.

Teeters can also be given to them since their teeth are coming out one by one. Teeters help soothe the pain and discomfort the infant’s are having because of this. Also, it helps the babies get used to of biting which in time will be helpful as they eat solid foods.

Toys, whether for the infants, kids or adults, always have that something extra which makes it hard to dispose at times. The important thing is that people learn to take of it when they really like and love it. If people do not have that sense of importance for a thing, then toys would just be thrown away without thinking of its sentimental value. No matter how old one is, toys will always be the same to them.
